  • Breeze Tubing.
Hi All. I would like information on "Breeze Tubing 5mm dia.", I have a friend that is interested in making a slow flyer and needs to purchase a 46cm length.
  • Re: Parkflyers plane give away.
Hi Guy, Sorry you just missed the comp. The entries closed on the 30th June and the article archived itself on the 1st of July which is why you can't find it.
  • Re: Parkflyers plane give away.
Dear Robert, I can't find any reference to a story/picture competition in the address you've given us. Could you provide a few more clues to help me ?

This upgraded Web Site is designed to promote better communication to members and  information sharing within the wider Aeromodelling Community. Though it is not setup as an interactive site, this feature can be added should the need arise. However you are encouraged to contact the Editor with questions, comments, copy and pictures through the contact menu, or by clicking CONTACT **HERE**

Aeromodelling enthusiasts in The Hawke's Bay were encouraged over 50 years ago to form a group to promote the many types of aeromodelling activities available. The first club in the district was The Hastings Model Aeroplane Club followed by a similar group in Napier. Subsequently The Hawkes Bay Radio Flyers Inc. was established from members of both groups to form a solid base for the future of the sport in the Hawke's Bay and Districts.

The Hawkes Bay Radio Flyers Inc. have had numerous flying sites over the years thanks to the help of the local farming community and other interested groups. About fifteen years ago the club was introduced to its present flying site by The Hawke's Bay Regional Council, this is a splendid site at Awatoto, off Waitangi Road, beside the Fertilizer Works just south of Napier City. The history of the setup of AWATOTO FIELD be viewed by clicking on
A short History of Awatoto Field     .We also have glider flying sites at Middle Road, Havelock North and another off the Taihape Road, west of Fernhill. Slope soaring is flown from Ocean Beach, Quarantine Hill at Napier, and South of Hastings on the Te Hauke straits. To view the Awatoto Field site location map, click on  Awatoto Field

Approximately monthly, we endeavour to publish a NEWSLETTER on this Website, covering the month's activity within the club, together with news and articles from the wider aeromodelling community. The current copy can be accessed from the MAIN MENU on the top left of this page, or by clicking CURRENT NEWSLETTER .   As in the past we plan to give full report coverage on events such as "WARBIRDS OVER AWATOTO", and "THE SIG FLY-IN" etc, together with feature articles and member announcements not covered by the newsletters. These features will all be accessable from the accompanying menus, and there will be a continually updated calendar of club and associated events. We presently have a link to the Napier Airport weather situation which is  updated regularly.

The link to the NZMAA News Group can keep you up to date on National happenings, and though you can access the site as a non-member, you are encouraged to join up for the little effort required, and enjoy the interaction and notification facilities avaiable as desired.

We hope you enjoy the accompanying SLIDESHOW which is presented as a window to the current newsletter.  The area could also be used to promote future activities such as "WARBIRD" etc, and similarly it could be used for advertising.  Watch this space.

The Club's Past Website is still accessable by clicking on the HBRF PAST WEBSITE button in the RESOURCES MENU on the left of this page.  Although we will no longer add to or update this site, all the Archive information and past Newsletters will remain available.

We hope you enjoy our "New Look" and both Heather and I look forward to your comments and input.
